Singapore Open Gymnastics Championships 2002

SINGAPORE OPEN GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS' 2002
Date: 30 November 2002-01 December 2002
Venue: Bishan Sports Hall

The annual Singapore Open Gymnastics Championships 2002, spanned over 2 days on 30th November and 1st December. This competition is in its second year, after being renamed in 2001; it was previously known as Pesta Sukan Gymnastics Championships, a combined effort of the Sports Council and Singapore Amateur Gymnastics Association for 40 years. The meet offers gymnasts and coaches from various schools and clubs to gather for a friendly competition, and also a learning experience.

This year, Chinese High increased its representatives for the competition to a total strength of five, namely Ng Wei Ping, Seah Ping Long, Tan Zi Yang Jonathan, Damian Ng and Seow Jen Yi. They competed in the Men Artistic Gymnastics Set A. Ng Wei Ping, who competed only in Pommel Horse had commended results- his score of 8.1 for his neat routine made him the champion of pommel horse apparatus.
